A note from our employee experience experts
Our ethos at Benefex is to seek to provide a stand-out employee experience for every single person who comes to work for us. We fundamentally believe that no one comes to work to do a bad job, and therefore want to ensure that we create an environment that allows you to give their best, every single day.

What does each team do?
Find out a little bit about what kinds of things you'd be doing across the multitude of Benefex teams
Employee Support Centre
As part of our fantastic employee support team, you'll be on the front line, helping our customers' employees with their day-to-day queries over the phone or via email. We'll teach you all about employee benefits and how they work, until you're an expert! There's a lot of teamwork involved, but you'll also be trusted to meet your own personal goals, too.
Our Data Services team have an eagle-eye for detail and have wonderful analytical skills. You'll be processing incoming HR data, exporting, checking, and sending reports, and you'll be a fantastic problem-solver too.
As a Technical Specialist, you'll be configuring and coding! You'll need your troubleshooting hat on as you resolve data queries, and you'll work directly with OneHub - our market-leading technology - to match our customers' specifications across a whole range of projects, from benefits, to TRS, to pensions auto-enrolment and more.
Benefex has the friendliest finance team you'll probably ever meet! Depending on your specific role, you could be responsible for payroll (which makes you incredibly popular each month), invoice processing, bank reconciliation, accounts payable - you name it! You need a good mathematical and analytical brain to be in this team - and they're the current holders of the Benefex Quiz trophy, so some general knowledge comes in handy.
Our fantastic Consulting team anchor all the different departments who work in the background, and liaise with our fantastic customers to keep everyone updated on the scheme progress and customer feedback. But there's more - you'll also be designing employee benefits, updating the customers' sites and documentation, testing the platform for each client, and analysing data to help our customers make the best benefits decisions for their employees.
Our hard-working technical consulting team are the builders of our customers' benefits platforms. You'll be configuring our systems to meet customer-specific requirements, resolving any queries or changes that come up during the building process, and you'll need an eye for detail as you'll be reviewing incoming data as well. Plus, you'll need to be a team player as you'll be working really closely with the consulting team.
Our own in-house learning and development centre gives every single Benefexer the opportunity to expand their knowledge and branch out into other areas of the business. Our internal experts share their insights on everything from SQL to stress management, presentation skills to financial wellbeing, and even Dungeons & Dragons! Whether you're looking to improve your employee benefits knowledge and progress your career, or you just want to dip into something new, we can make it happen.
We also offer a huge library of online training covering all of the key topics which are essential to making sure Benefex is the best in employee benefits, reward and recognition, communications and employee experience.

The Benefex social life
We throw an amazing party
The Benefex Christmas Party is the highlight of our social calendar, and we've had it all - stilt walkers, Oscar nights, James Bond parties, ice sculpting, parties on warships, full-sized cutouts of Nicholas Cage - you name it, we've done it.
Our amazing People team and Social Committee always have ideas up their sleeves to make every festive season really special!
We keep work social, too
We socialise a lot outside of work, but we also love to enjoy ourselves in the office. With a foosball table, breakout areas, coffee machines and TVs, we've got a relaxed and fun vibe going on in our Southampton headquarters.
Throughout the lockdown periods, we've worked hard to make sure we've kept socialising as normal. From strictly non-work-related Friday catch-ups, to team quizzes, to lunch and learn sessions, we've tried as much as possible to replicate our casual, friendly company personality online.
We get competitive
We love a quiz night! We host two big quizzes every year - one offsite, and one in the office at Christmas. Sometimes it gets a little bit competitive, but the most important thing is the truly punderful team names.
Luckily, lockdown hasn't stopped us from getting quizzical, and our fantastic Social Committee has made sure we've all stayed as competitive as we ever were!
We incorporate charity
We like to give to charity as much as we possibly can, so we host bake sales, raffles, fun runs, and even penalty shootouts all to raise funds for fantastic causes.
We like to try all kinds of activities - sometimes it's a nice quiz in a pub, and sometimes we're rock-climbing, abseiling, kayaking or raft building. Not long after this photo was taken, we all ended up in the water...
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get together so much in 2020, but we've got big plans for 2021!
While a lot of us love fun runs and archery, we also like a cosy evening in. If you're lucky enough to be based in our Southampton HQ, you'll be right in the heart of the social scene, with countless bars, restaurants and pubs nearby. Plus, we love to play pool.
We're good friends
Whenever you ask someone what their favourite thing about Benefex is, they'll say 'the people' almost every time. We arrange loads of different social activities during work and after, so you'll have a lot of opportunity to make great friends with your workmates.
We like to say 'thank you'
