Group Risk Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our wonderful Corporate Benefits team within Benefex Financial Solutions, the broking arm of Benefex Ltd.

Purpose of role:

The main purpose of this role is to support the BFS back-office processes to ensure that best practice, compliance and FCA standards are met. There will be significant emphasis on Healthcare Benefit Administration, encompassing all aspects of setting up and administering Group Private Medical, Dental, Healthcare Cash Plan and Health Assessment scheme for a range of corporate clients. This includes supporting the Corporate Benefits Account Manager(s) in a wide range of tasks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining scheme specifications to ensure they're up-to-date at all times
  • Service and renew all new and existing group risk policies in a timely and professional manager
  • Ensure the Benefex data protection policy is adhered to at all times
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Benefex systems and processes
  • Drafting group risk and broking reports
  • Confirming and tracking underwriting requirements
  • Group Risk Claims handling
  • Invoice reconciliation or core accounts

Skills, knowledge & experience:


  • GR1 Qualification
  • 3-5 years industry experience in a Group Risk environment
  • Good standard of general education (GCSE and A level or equivalent) to include a high level of numeracy and literacy
  • Good administrative skills
  • Good Analytical skills
  • Good PC skills essential
  • Microsoft Outlook/Microsoft Excel (to advanced standard)/Microsoft Word/Microsoft Access/Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Good customer service skills - will be liaising with both providers
  • Team player
  • Able to use initiative
  • Adaptable
  • Desire to learn and develop


  • Experience with Flex Benefits
  • Administration experience dealing with: Healthcare products (PMI, dental, cash plans or health screens) / Flexible Benefits
