Modern Slavery Policy
Benefex are an organisation committed to enhancing and maximizing the employee experience. We are fully committed to ensuring all business activities comply with the relevant legislation, and that stringent policies and practices are in place to prevent any workers from being abused or exploited. We will ensure that we work to prevent slavery and human trafficking in both our corporate activities and with our partners and other associated third parties.
Whilst we are not required to make a statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we are an open and transparent organisation and wish to provide reassurance to our customers and others about our recruitment practices, policies and procedures.
We are an employee experience provider, providing a platform and supporting services for organisations to deliver employee benefits to their staff. We are a part of the Benefex Group of companies which is made up of Benefex Limited, Benefex Financial Solutions Limited and Benefex Holdings Limited (Group). All of the companies in the Group are incorporated in England. The Group has approximately 200 employees all of whom are based in the UK. Whilst the Group’s clients are based worldwide, all of the Group’s operations are conducted from the UK.
Benefex has a number of policies in place designed to facilitate the commitments made within this policy, including:
- Benefex Code of Conduct
- Anti-Bribery Policy
- Corporate Social Responsibility Policy
- Equality and Diversity Policy
- Ethics Policy
- Fraud Policy
- Whistleblowing Policy
Benefex only utilises reputable and compliant sources to recruit, and carries out pre-employment checks on all employees to ensure they have the right to work and are thereby protected by the relevant employment legislation.
Benefex does not employ or contract any workers who would be considered to be ‘child workers’. Young workers may be permitted to undertake work experience with us, but would be afforded the same rights and treatment that we extend to all employees and contractors.
While we cannot directly control working conditions within our suppliers and partners, we will ensure that all prospective partners or suppliers are subject to stringent checks via a standard procedure. We will not hesitate to terminate our relationship with any suppliers or partners who are found to have treated workers in a manner inconsistent with any of our own internal policies and standards.
Benefex are an accredited Living Wage Foundation employer.
