Alex Davitt is one of our unsung HR heroes, and she's worked incredibly hard to be where she is today...

When did you start at Benefex?
Way back in 2013

In what role?
I was in our Employee Support Centre, helping our customers' employees with their queries.

What’s been your progression from your first role to your current one?
I moved from ESC to HR Admin when a vacancy came up. Then, after a couple of years, I was promoted to People Manager.

What made you join Benefex in the first place?
I wanted office experience and my friend Kim (now the Director of Customer Services) recommended Benefex.

What made you go for the role you’re in now?
I completed a Law degree at university and really enjoyed the Employment Law module, but I had no office experience, so I came to Benefex. Eight months after I joined, the HR Admin role came up and I went for it!

How did Benefex help you progress through your previous roles?
Benefex - and especially my line manager - has been amazing! I have completed my level 3 and level 5 CIPD qualifications, and both these courses were funded by Benefex – including time out to attend college and uni. My line manager also gives me exposure to absolutely every situation, and to me there is no better way of learning than by doing. I truly love Benefex and enjoy coming to work every single day!  

What’s your favourite thing about working here?
No two days are ever the same! I feel that I am genuinely learning something new every single day.
